Triple award winning experimental short film Sehnsucht was made in 2004 in the city of Magdeburg and was Jamie McDine's first film produced in German. Fear not though, it does come with full English subtitles! The film's fans include musician Ian Brown, who supplied the soundtrack for the film. 'Sehnsucht', translates to 'Yearning', and picked up awards at film festivals in Germany and Siberia in 2004 and 2005.

The audio narrative of the film runs forwards, but the visual narrative runs backwards giving the viewer a whole new perspective upon their actions and the consequences they have. Confused? Check it out and all will become clear!

Starring in the film are Claudia Janke, Jerome Mullan and Thorsten Schultz, together with the voice of Katharina Peter, all from the English Theatre Company in Magdeburg.
